Higher Education Consultant
Christine Flores is a credentialed school counselor with extensive knowledge of four-year college admissions, community college support and transfers, and financial aid issues. Working in school settings for twelve years, she has guided students with their course selection, four-year planning, and transcript evaluation, while developing and teaching college-application and essay-writing workshops.
Christine supports student athletes at every level. She has training and knowledge of NCAA and NAIA eligibility requirements for the college-bound athlete, and has provided guidance to students as they were recruited into DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA level teams.
Christine helped develop an International Baccalaureate program from the ground up. She guided the school site through the successful completion of the IB application process, managed the budget, supported teachers and students new to the program, and monitored the program goals.
She has extensive experience working with students who learn differently, having provided counseling and support to students and families while collaborating with special education staff to create and implement IEP and 504 plans. Christine has also advised prospective and current students at the community college level to help them develop educational plans as they transition from high school to college. She has worked with diverse populations at both the high school and community college level.
Christine received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fullerton and her graduate degree in Educational Counseling and her PPS credential from the University of La Verne. She is a member of the American School Counseling Association, the California School Counseling Association, and the IB Educator Network.
Christine emphasizes a student-centered approach, while highlighting holistic and best fit college matches for her clients.
