Higher Education Consultant
Kim Spindler received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon, her graduate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of California San Francisco, and her Specialized Certificate in College Counseling from UC San Diego. Kim is now an interviewer for medical applicants to the Texas Christian University (TCU) and University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) School of Medicine.
Kim has extensive expertise and insight regarding successful admission into pre-med, direct-admit nursing, physical therapy, and occupational therapy programs. In addition, Kim works with students with many backgrounds and interests, including in particular computer science and engineering.
Kim regularly works to expand her knowledge of the college admissions process through campus visits, college-industry seminars and ongoing relationships with college admission officers. Student-centered and operating on the belief that each person has a unique narrative to tell, Kim helps her students discover their story and frame themselves in their best, most compelling light. She offers individualized support to students to find their best-fit college, based on their strengths and interests.
Kim’s goal is to make the college application process as organized, stress-free and enjoyable as possible. Kim is known for her attention to detail and enthusiasm as well as her ability to bring out the best in her students as they manage the college admissions process.
Kim is an Associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). She has been an active member of the Pasadena and San Marino communities through organizations such as The National Charity League, Hillsides, Pasadena Children’s Guild and the Junior League of Pasadena. She is the proud mother of a college sophomore and a high school senior.
