Veronica Mejia

As Capstone’s Client Manager, Veronica is dedicated to merging her organizational expertise with her commitment to client satisfaction. She has worked in administrative support for five years across diverse backgrounds including corporate, non-profit, municipal and educational settings. In addition, she brings twelve years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Veronica attended University of California, Santa Barbara, where she was guided by her passion for mental health advocacy. While at UCSB, she worked in the Counseling & Psychological Department in the Mental Health Peer Program. She led individualized sessions with an emphasis in time management, coping skills, and relaxation techniques. Veronica enjoys assisting students and their families in their college application process and beyond. She is an active volunteer and currently serves as the Public Policy Chair for the Greater Los Angeles and Central Coast Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention where she is responsible for providing legislative support for state and national bills for mental health and suicide prevention. In 2021, she was nominated for and unanimously voted to the statewide position of California Secretary of the Public Policy Committee.

Veronica also has a special love for Pasadena City College, where she serves on the Communications & Public Relations Committee. In 2022, she was nominated for and unanimously voted onto the Foundation Board of Directors where she helps raise funds for major capital projects, technology updates, college programs that provide special services to students and the community, and student scholarships. When she is not working with clients or volunteering in areas closest to her heart, she enjoys being active. She is currently training for her first triathlon.
