Jill Andersen
MA Clinical Psychology, PPS
Higher Education Consultant

Jill is a credentialed school counselor who has extensive experience working with both high school and college students. She is an invaluable member of our team because she has over ten years experience as a counselor at Pasadena City College and Rio Hondo College, two community colleges in Southern California, where she advises students as they prepare to transfer to the UCs, Cal States, and other public universities and private colleges. This experience gives her extensive knowledge on the often confusing requirements needed to successfully transfer.
She has also worked with high school students as a private college admissions consultant for many years. Her goal is to guide students as they navigate the college admissions process from start to finish, providing a personalized experience based on the specific needs and goals of the client.
College Counseling is a third career for Jill: she started out working in the business world with a BA in Business Marketing, and then spent 15 years working in television production. Jill has an MA in Clinical Psychology, a PPS credential in School Counseling, as well as a Career Counseling certificate from Cal State Northridge, where she developed an expertise in administering and interpreting career assessments. Jill has visited and researched many colleges and has a vast knowledge of how a student can stand out as an applicant. She believes that finding your passion is often difficult and so stresses the importance of exploring and developing interests to discover purpose and enjoyment.
Jill resides in Pasadena with her husband, where she raised two children. One of them is an attorney at a large firm in Los Angeles, and the other works in television and film production. Whenever she can fit it in you will find her on the golf course!
